Department of Religious Studies receives project funding in the competition "Kleine Fächer: Sichtbar innovativ!"

FIW Bonn

Doctoral and post-doctoral students of the Department of Religious Studies, in collaboration with representatives of young researchers at the Universities of Bremen and Munich, have received funding of €10,000 for the project Mapping Religionswissenschaft: Vernetzen, Vertiefen, Sichtbar Machen as part of the competition Kleine Fächer: Sichtbar innovativ! The project aims to use unused potential both in the development of interdisciplinarity and in increased intra-disciplinary networking across locations in order to remain socially relevant and connectable to cultural studies in the long term. It aims at mapping the content of German Religious Studies in the sense of a longer-term project. Professionally produced video clips present representatives of the subject to the public and thus provide insight into research and teaching. As an intradisciplinary network of the research training group, online workshops with subject representatives are also held, which are aimed particularly at young researchers in the research training group, but are also open to students.
